Thoughts on Dating in a World of Ex-Lovers
I completely understand how it feels to date in a world of ex-lovers. It feels that there is no potentials out there as some are either celibate and waiting or sluts and not. I always try to find ways to think positively when it feels that everyone has slept with everyone, especially in Merced. It helps to do research and find gay dating sites, as you all may know, eHarmony has started offering help for gays and lesbians in the dating world. That is a good sign. I also like to go out to the library and check out some books on what it means to be gay, maybe helping myself in the area of being a better gay guy.
I find it super hard to find anyone out here as many of the guys have all met and done stuff with each other, like some country redneck getdown. “Well, bobby-sue, which cuz do I screw tonight?” Its one thing to go out and have a good time, but having your image tainted by the gay guys out here just makes me wonder what they really want from a guy. The bad thing is, especially, if your not in school and trying to meet someone because you have finished your degree and aren’t really in a job where you can meet people. I have a lot to think with this one, so I will get back to you with more thoughts on this. In the meantime, definitely check out a gay magazine or two and see what fun activities are out there for gay men. Its not always necessary to make a road trip out of having a fun time in a gay city. Sometimes its kewl to just hang out and see what your own area has to offer. Maybe if there is nothing to offer, consider volunteering your time into putting a diversity center where gays and lesbians and other like individuals can have a safe place to chill and relax. What are your thoughts on dating in a world of ex-lovers?
Wow. Pretty heavy stuff. I’m interested to see what more comes out of this. I think gay guys are generally pretty more casual when it comes to sex and their sexual partners. I don’t know if that makes them evil or sluts or whatever. The smaller the town the less ground to cover when it comes to gossip or water-cooler talk. It could be worse. We could be LESBIANS! Lol. Jk.
