Queer Merced

So, I’m super stoked. Another year and another fun gay pride. Even though, there seems to be this consensus that its super boring and the same thing every year, I tend to disagree. There is always chance to meet a new guy and a new friend and learn something new. The only thing that doesn’t change is the parade every year starting at 10:30 AM, yea that’s too early on a Sunday. I’m ready to party like a rock star and I hope you guys are all ready for this event. Keep in mind that June is LGBT month as well as International Men’s Month, so, there are tons of activities going on throughout the Castro and LGBT center in SF. www.sfpride.org

What’s also great is that the fun doesn’t end at the end of June, there are other pride events around the state, so keep an eye out for them. Also, I will be starting up a LGBT group at CSU Stanislaus to try and get that going, so maybe we can get the word out to help that along when Fall Semester starts in August.

Hey guys, I recently took a trip out to modesto to see the brave bull bar and tiki bar and get an opinion of these places. The tiki bar is a super chill place to go to just hang out and meet people. They have a very relaxed environment when you want to calm down from a horrible day. Then after you have a couple drinks in your system, you can head over to the brave bull and dance all those calories off and meet a great guy…hehe The brave bull is super busy on friday and saturday nights with a drag show on Sundays. The tiki is great to go to on Tuesdays (and sometimes Thursdays). Giving you two days off to chill out on the drinking…hehe. I sure hope you guys get a chance to explore the activities around this area. I also found out when I was on a date at UC Merced that there is a glbt organization. So, definitely check that out with the activities director on the campus. Oh and to my surprise, I found out that CSU Stanislaus doesn’t have a glbt organization.
